On His third visit to Denmark, Pujya Sri Swamiji arrived in Copenhagen on Wednesday the 6th September at 3 PM. There was a warm and devotional reception by many devotees in the Copenhagen airport. Sri. Chandra Shekar of Larsen and Toubro of Madras with his family accompanied Sri Swamiji to Denmark. On Thursday and Friday Sri Swamiji rested and played music for most of the time. On Saturday, Sri Swamiji visited the Datta Yoga Center in Roskilde and performed Sri Chakra Puja. Sri Swamiji was presented the Datta Mala and Sukti Manjari published in Danish language. Sri Swamiji released three books translated from English. They were "Silent Teacher" by Shabari of Switzerland, "Experiences with the Holy Master" by Ramesh Pragg of Trinidad and "Vedanta II". Sri Swamiji praised the efforts of the translation, publishing and editorial members. Sri Swamiji then gave healing stones to everyone present there. Sri Swamiji then in a speech spoke on what Sri Swamiji expects from Datta Yoga Centres and how they should function. Sri Swamiji further mentioned that the Datta group is not a sect of a party of religious zealots. Sri Swamiji after coming out of the function saw children playing with a ball and joined them and played with them for a while. In the afternoon Sri Swamiji visited the local hospital and visited the children section and Blessed them. Then Sri Swamiji visited a very scenic place in Denmark where high calcium cliffs meet the sea. Sri Swamiji went down 495 steps to go down to the sea. After spending about 30 minutes, Sri Swamiji returned. On Sunday, the 10th, the last Sri Chakra Puja and Maha Ganapati Homa of the tour were performed. Sri Swamiji in the speech, reflected on the tour so far and expressed happiness. The open air atmosphere, lush green surrounding and the cool climate enhanced the program. Sri Swamiji then materialized Vibhooti from a flower bouquet just presented. Sri Swamiji then offered Purnahuti to the Maha Ganapati Homam. Then Sri Swamiji put Gandham (Sandal wood paste) on the throat region of all present there. Sri Swamiji then gave spiritual names to about 100 persons upon their request. In the evening a music for meditation and healing concert was held in Wega, a concert theater in the heart of Copenhagen. It was one of the best musical event of Sri Swamiji. The Ragas Keeravani, Vitapi and Gana Murti were compelling. Especially Keeravani stirred the hearts of many. Sri Swamiji gave the opportunity for Tani Avarthanam and then when going through the back stage mentioned that while developing the Raga, Sri Swamiji felt very emotional and tears formed in the eyes. "Keeravani was one of the first Ragas I played on the Sitar in early seventies and it had profound impact on me" said Sri Swamiji. This candid expression goes to explain the superb playing of the Keeravani Raga that evening. Sri Swamiji went around the audience while Shankar Ramesh played intricate and enjoyable Tani Avarthanam. His deft movements and thunderous playing invoked a long applause from the audience. Sri Swamiji wielding the crystal wand went from row to row and Blessed, healed and conveyed benedictions to the sick and the needy. Earlier, before the concert started, Indra welcomed the gathering, Mukunda Jeppson lit the inaugural lamp and Agastya Seikritt gave garland to Sri Swamiji. The Ambassador of India, Mr. Shashank was present. The concert lasting over three hours concluded at 10.30 PM. Later, the packed house came to Sri Swamiji in a row and offered their respects. This was the last event of the 84 day world tour of Sri Swamiji in the west in this first year of this millennium. Sri Swamiji left Copenhagen airport for Delhi on 11th September at 6 PM. Sri Swamiji arrived in Mysore Ashrama at 12 noon on Wednesday the 13th September 2000. We trust and hope that you all enjoyed the offering of this tour of Sri Swamiji on the Internet. Understanding and acknowledging my limitations, an honest effort to cover the events as I discovered, has been attempted. Jaya Guru Datta Prasad
