Pujya Sri Swamiji arrives in Mysore

Parama Pujya Sri Swamiji arrived from Bangalore in the evening at Avadhoota Datta Peetham, Mysore on 26th October 1998, after successfully completing the 41st foreign tour.

The welcome function was a very unique one. Sri Swamiji arrived at the new Sri Venkateshwara temple and planted 56 plants in the premises, which shows Pujya Sri Swamiji's concern towards protecting the environment. Seedlings of different varieties of herbal, coconut, flowers and fruits were planted.

On Sunday, 1st November, a felicitation function was organised by Datta Gnana Bodha Sabha, Mysore. Sri. Ramadas and Sri. Maruti Rao Pawar, political representatives of Mysore city were invited as the chief guests. All the musicians and others who accompanied His Holiness during the tour of Switzerland were blessed by Sri Swamiji. Sri. Radhakrishna of Mysore Ashrama briefed about the concert in Zurich and about the telephone cabins in Switzerland which play Sri Swamiji's meditation music as one opens and closes the door of the cabin. Later Sri. Pawar said that Sri Swamiji's musical mission has touched many a corner of the globe and this is because of an unselfish act. He also said that the Peetham is doing excellent service to the society. Mr. Ramadas said Sri Swamiji's unique ideas were very well implemented in Switzerland and other countries. Sri Swamiji in His benedictory address remembered the efforts of Mr. Hans Imesch and his team in organising and co-ordinating the whole tour and said that all the members of the Ashrama group had a role to play in the tour.

Later the chief guests honoured all the musicians and others who had accompanied His Holiness.
