Pujya Sri Swamiji in Chennai for Tamil New Year

Re-consecration of Sri Padmavati and Sri Dhanvantari deities at Sti Datta Venkateshwara Kshetra

Parama Pujya Sri Swamiji arrived at Chennai Ashram at 6.30 pm on 13th April to a grand welcome. As Pujya Gurudeva entered the prayer hall, more than1200 persons were chanting Sri Lalita Sahasranama. After the conclusion of Parayana Sri Swamiji was given a devotional welcome. In His Anugraha discourse, Sri Swamiji mentioned that Chanting of Devi's names will enhance the concentration of the individual. He blessed all the devotees for participating in the Parayanam. This is first time in the history of Chennai Ashrama that 1200 people joined in the mass Parayana of Sri Lalita Sahasranama. The sanctified vibrations of chanting in the Divine presence of Pujya Sri Swamiji was an experience everybody cherished.

April 14, 2011 - Tamil New Year Day - Parama Pujya Sri Swamiji offered Poornahuti for Lakshmi Kubera Homa at 10 am. As Sri Swamiji performed Sri Chakra Puja, winners of inter school Bhajan competition rendered Bhajans. The children gave a beautiful programme. After Sri Chakra Puja, Sri Bala Swamiji offered a huge Gaja mala, Vastram and flower Kireeta to Pujya Sadgurudeva on behalf of all devotees. Sri Swamiji in His discourse told devotees that they have to understand how to approach Guru and what Guru can do for a devotee. Sri Swamiji then gave Coin Prasadam to more than 3500 devotees.

In the evening, Sri Swamiji sang wonderful Bhajans in His majestic voice. After the Bhajans, Dolotsava for Sri Swamiji was performed by all devotees to the beautiful Dola singing by Ashrama Bhajan Mandali.
