On Tuesday, 23rd March 2010, Sri Swamiji visited Princes town & Penal. Princes town has a Datta temple established by Sri Swamiji in 1993. Sri. Ramdath and family have been long time devotees and they developed and care the Ashrama there. Pujya Sri Swamiji performed Sri Chakra Puja in the Datta temple. Devotees offered flower garlands of various colours. The burst of colours. from natural and beautiful flowers around Sadgurudeva's smiling face was a feast. Sri Swamiji in His speech said the simple life and habits of the people in rural areas was enviable.
At 3 PM, Sri Swamiji traveled from Princes Town to Penal to visit the Sachchidananda Yoga Ashrama. They have five shrines and a prayer hall. The shrines are yet to be installed with idols yet. The plan is to install, Dattatreya, Lakshmi, Shiva, Ganapathy and Hanuman. The prayer hall has been completed and monthly Satsangs are held. A small Guru Nilaya overlooking the valley has been built. Sri Swamiji gave a wonderful speech on the concept of "organisation of Ashramas, the people who run it and the activities". (the full text of the speech will be published soon). The Bhajan group sang two newly released Telugu Bhajans from Hanuman Chalisa (Telugu) CD as well as the Telugu Hanuman Chalisa.
Later in the evening, Sri Swamiji visited the "Devi Bhagawath Yagya" conducted by Swami Brahmadeo Upadhyay in the house of Sri. Ramdath. His Holiness was reverentially received with traditional Tassa drumming, conch blowing, bells ringing, loud bursts of "Jai Jai" and mantra chants. Sw. Brahmadeo spoke on his personal experience with Sri Swamiji. In 2008, when Sri Swamiji was visiting Trinidad, Sri Swamiji called Sw. brahmadeo inside the Ganapathy shrine at Datta Yoga Center. Sw. brahmadeo held Sri Swamiji's feet and looked up. He saw Lord Hanuman face in the place of Sri Swamiji's face. That was the turning point in my life and I am Sri Swamiji's child and disciple now - declared Sw. brahmadeo Upadhyay.
Pujya Sri Swamiji in His short speech spoke on the story of Devi Bhagawatha. Sri Swamiji retold the "Sati story and Lord Shiva's thunderous "Nataraja" dance and the creation of Maheshvara Sutra - the creation of syllables. The establishment of "Ashta Dasha Shakti Peethas" - the 18 Devi Kshetras. Sri Swamiji said devotion and prayers have helped humanity across millennia of existence and exhorted everyone to be humble, devoted to family, community and country and lead a Dharmic life. Such societies will be Blessed with bounty and happiness". As Sri Swamiji concluded His speech, rains started and there was wide spread cheer, applause and Jaikara. Sri Swamiji Blessed the pundits conducting the Yajna.
Sri Swamiji returned to Ashrama at 9 PM.
