His Holiness performed Sri Chakra Puja as devotees chanted Vishnu Sahasranama and Lakshmi Ashtottara (thousand sacred names of Lord Vishnu and 108 sacred names of Goddess Laxmi) in chorus while the recently released CD of Vishnu Sahasranama and Lakshmi Ashtottara rendered by Sri Swamiji was being played.  Devotees who assembled at Dr. Mahipal’s house where the program was organized devotionally meditated on the sacred names of Lord Vishnu sung rapturously by His Holiness in deep contemplation.

After the complete rendition Sri Swamiji explained the importance of Vishnu Sahasranama. Swamiji said “Vishnu Sahasranama brings peace not only to your family but also to the family of your friends who are far away abroad. When you recite it during the day the merit goes to you. When you recite at night the merit goes to your friends and family far away in India. Vishnu Sahasranama redeems one from all evils, diseases, bondages and fear of dangers. It bestows health, wealth and prosperity. Vishnu has no day and night. He is awake at all times. Therefore we can pray to Him at all times. If He sleeps then it is the end of the creation. One must understand that Vishnu is the protector and the entire creation is His plan. Respectfully worshiping Lord Vishnu brings about positive vibrations all over the globe. There are several versions of Vishnu Sahasranama rendition. Swamiji has followed the method practiced by Jayalakshmi Mata and preached to Swamiji. You can all chant along while the CD plays at home or in office or during meditation. You can distribute a few copies of the CDs to your friends. This way the benefit of recitation becomes manifold”.
