VaraMahaLakshmi Vrata is one of the auspicious Vrata for women in India. “Vara” means boon and Maha Lakshmi is goddess of wealth who blesses her devotees with wealth, prosperity, health and happiness. In one sense, Varalakshmi is one who grants boons. In another, she is the Goddess who is invited into the home and honored. This Vrata is observed on the friday that falls before the full Moon day of the month of Shravana (August - September).
