Sadgurudeva Sri Swamiji traveled to Rajasthan on 20th October 2009. This was a unique and historic trip.

On 19th Oct, Sri Swamiji traveled from Mysore to Bengaluru. It was the first Monday in the sacred Shiva month of “Kartika". Sri Swamiji worshipped the Shiva Linga in Bengaluru Ashrama.

On 20th, Sri Swamiji traveled to Jaipur (via Mumbai). On 21st, in the pre noon, Sri Swamiji visited several sculptural studios where the delicate stone of marble is made holy by the nimble fingers of artisans who carve out sacred and holy idol. In the evening, Sri Swamiji addressed an audience of 400 devotees in a place called “Mysore Gardens”. Sri Swamiji outlined the faint line between truth and untruth. This was the first ever public address by Sri Swamiji in Rajasthan. Later, Sri Swamiji inaugurated a program called “Akriya Yoga” by Sri. Ram Chaitanya.

On 21st, Sri Swamiji traveled to Ajmer (2 Hours) and accepted Pada Puja from Sri. Ajay Vikram Singh, a senior bureaucrat (Retd.). From his house, Sri Swamiji visited the sacred “Dargah” of the great Sufi saint “Moinduddin Chisti”. Sri Swamiji said that it was a personal and fulfilling pilgrimage. It is to be mentioned that Sri Swamiji’s mother, Jayalakshmi Mata too had a Sufi Saint “Fakir Thaata” as her teacher. The Anjumaan of the Dargah offered their respects to Sri Swamiji.

At 3 PM, Sri Swamiji traveled to Pushkar (which is 14 kms from Ajmer). This quite famous town is known for the world’s only Brahma temple where it is actively worshipped. The small and beautiful town of Pushkar is surrounded by hills on three sides and sand dunes on the other, Pushkar forms a fascinating location and a befitting backdrop for the annual religious and camel fair during October-November, which is globally famous and attracts thousands of visitors from all parts of the world. Pushkar is among the most important Dhams or pilgrimages that are held in high esteem by Hindus. The pious Pushkar Lake is believed to have been created by the falling of lotus from the hand of Lord Brahma. It is considered to be as old as the creation. The lake is considered as one of the most sacred spots, This holy Lake has 52 ghats.

Sri Swamiji personally offered flowers and performed Arati to the four faced brownish colored stone idol of Brahma. Sri Swamiji went around the idol three times. Sri Swamiji also visited the underground “Pracheena Shiva Mandir”, Dattatreya Mandir, Kubera Mandir, Saptarshi Mandir, all in the compound of Brahma Temple. It is said that Brahma performed Yajna here. This is also the place where three great lakes existed. But today they are dry and no water is there. The town was gearing up for the upcoming “Pushkar Fair”. Seeing many camels, Sri Swamiji chose to go on a camel ride. Sri Swamiji returned to Jaipur at 8 PM.
