Sri Swamiji in Bangalore Ashrama - 13, 14, 15 November 2009

Parama Pujya Sri Swamiji arrived at Girinagar Ashrama on 13th afternoon. The Ashrama is celebrating it's 28th anniversary. In the evening at 7 p.m., Pujya Sri Swamiji discoursed on the story of Lord Surya in the magnificent Sri Karyasiddhi Mantapa. This auditorium, inaugurated in 2006, is a marvel in architecture, acoustics and design.

On Saturday, 14th November 2009, Pujya Sri Swamiji performed Sri Chakra Puja and performed Sindhoora Archana to the powerful and popular Sri Karyasiddhi Anjaneya in Bangalore Ashrama. This day is celebrated as "Children's Day" in India in memory of Sri. Jawaharlal Nehru, (the first and longest-serving Prime Minister of India), in recognition of his passion and work for the welfare, education and development of children and young people. Students of SGS Vagdevi Integrated School, established by Datta Peetham in Bangalore Ashrama gave a wonderful performance for over 30 minutes. SGS Vagdevi School provides diagnostic, evaluation and intervention including educational intervention from infant stimulation to vocational training to communication impaired children in an integrated setup. This is the first of its kind in India putting all the communication-impaired children and normal children under one banner. Later, Pujya Sri Swamiji released the 2010 calendar of Sri Karyasiddhi Anjaneya Swamy. In the evening, Sri Swamiji concluded the discourse on Surya Charitre.

The 3rd Anniversary of Sri Karyasiddhi Mantapa was celebrated on 15th November 2009. Pujya Sri Swamiji performed Sri Chakra Puja at 10 am. As part of it's charitable activities, Bangalore Ashrama donated rupees fifty thousand to "Vishwa Shantiniketana" of Bangalore. This institution is managed by Sri. K. R. Venkatesh (a former Defense PRO & former Professor of IIM Bangalore) and takes care of several mentally retarded children and adults . Later, Sri Swamiji released a Kannada book "Aashrama Beledu Banda Daari". This book, authored by senior devotee and executive trustee, Sri. C. S. Narasimha, traces the growth and development of Bangalore Ashrama. Later, Pujya Sri Swamiji sprinkled the sacred the Ganga water on all the devotees. This was a great blessing to the hundreds who had gathered.

The evening saw a scintillating Bhajans singing by Pujya Gurudeva. As a gift to Sri Karyasiddhi Hanuman in Bangalore Ashrama, Pujya Sri Swamiji composed and sung Hanuman Chalisa in Kannada Language, the meaning of which is similar to the Hanuman Chalisa of the great Saint Tulsidas.. The lyrics of this new composition is very lucid and meaningful. It was indeed a great gift to Lord Hanuman and His devotees at large.

On Monday, Sri Swamiji visited several Devotees' houses. In the evening, Gurudeva performed Arati to Sachchidanandeshwara on the last monday of Kaartika month. Sri Swamiji left for Mekedatu on tuesday evening to have the Darshan of Lord Sangameshwara. Datta Peetham had recently renovated this Ancient temple (under the management of Endowments Department of Karnataka State Government). On wednesday morning, Sri Swamiji traveled Sogala village, the birth place of Mata Jayalakshmi. This place also has the Brindavana of the great saint in Sri Swamiji's lineage, Yogi Subbayya. Pujya Sri Swamiji reached Mysore in the afternoon.
