Hanuman Heritage Festival & Conference-Trinidad
2008
Hanuman Heritage festival & Conference is a lofty project envisaged by the organizers of Dattatreya Yoga Center of Trinidad and Tobago under the guidance of His Holiness Sri Sri Sri Ganapathy Sachchidananda Swamiji, Avadhoota Datta Peetham, Mysore, India.
For the past two decades, Sri Swamiji has been visiting Trinidad regularly and has given enlightening spiritual discourses, scintillating music programs and Bhajan singing. He has brought about an awakening in the Caribbean people. Encouraged by the inspiration of the people, a 85 feet tall icon of Hanuman and a shrine and other facilities were created in Carapichaima village in Central Trinidad. This place has become a hub of social and spiritual activities where devotees gather to live by the exemplary life of Lord Hanuman and his teachings which is popular in Trinidad and Tobago. This awareness has added to a better social civilization in this country and a synthesis of social and cultural life.
During the festival, apart from lectures, food bazaar, cultural fest, ethnic shopping and ecological awareness camps have been part of the Hanuman Heritage Festival.
