Pujya Sri Swamiji’s Message

Swamiji would always come with prior intimation, but this time in the auspicious lunar month of Kartika, Swamiji has made a sudden visit to this place, because real Gurubhaktas(devotees of Guru) will come to seek the grace of Guru by themselves. They will be eagerly waiting for Guru’s arrival.

Guru Seva (service to guru) means, not just performing Pujas, Bhajans, serving food and then making comments as you wish. Real Guru Seva means considering this idol of Dattatreya as manifesting the energy of my Sadguru, feeling the energy of Sadguru is that form, and contemplating on the preaching of Sadguru, and putting them into practice in our daily lives in every act that we do, participating whole heartedly in all the activities of the Ashrama involving ourselves, and work to uplift the Kshetram (sacred place consecrated by Sadguru).

The caretakers and trustees of this Ashrama have a lot of ambitions about this Ashrama. Let them all be fulfilled.

We have several domestic problems. It is an over expectation that having Darshan of Sadguru once, all our problems would melt away. We must pray to Sadguru to grant the endurance to bear the effects of our Karmas(actions of past). Swamiji does not need your propaganda or your money. He expects your untainted devotion. He wants your devout heart. Swamiji is always in search of such devotees. We should be going to the mountain. However, the mountain itself has come rolling to us. We are so fortunate.

If we want to lead a spiritual life, then it would require a lot of practice and penance. It is not like a film song. We have to attain that perfection gradually. We have tendency to search for Guru and divine only in times of disgust and despair. We spend more than 80% of our time in merrymaking and entertainment. When we encounter a dreadful situation, we approach Sadguru and challenge Him saying, “If you have the capacity, remove our suffering.” This is wrong and absurd. We should approach Guru with reverence and surrender rather than with arrogance or doubt.

Sadguru stands for Dharma(righteousness). Man’s life is a consequence of Karma. Dharma protects the Karma. But, Karma has to be surrendered and in the tenets of the Dharma. One who performs actions surrendered to Dharma in thought, word and deed, he is the real devotee. A devotee who surrenders himself to Sadguru in such a state of purity will ever be victorious.
