Music for Meditation and Healing - London

12th June
Parama Pujya Sri Ganapati Sachchidananda Swamiji was well received by the Board of Trustees at 2 pm at Euro Datta Centre, Brentford. Pujya Sri Swamiji inaugurated the new Guru Nilayam on the auspicious onset of Ekadashi and also the beginning of His birth star HASTA, at around 5 pm. Later, in the evening, Sri Swamiji gave a discourse on Atman and Paramaatman and the relation between the two.

13th June
In the evening at 7.30, Pujya Sri Swamiji performed Sri Chakra Puja followed by wonderful Bhajans singing.

14th June
His Holiness Sri Swamiji's 66th birthday celebrations started at 9.30 am followed by a discourse on Sadguru and His relation with the devotees. After the discourse, a nice cake was cut and distributed to all the devotees. A new photo of Pujya Swamiji was released by Sri Swamiji and Mr.Jitu Dave. Sri Swamiji also released a beautiful Guru Nilaya model made of wood and gifted by a devotee, Ms. Sangeeta Suthar.

A wonderful Music for Meditation and Healing concert was held at the historic and unique Central Hall - Westminster at 7.30 pm. Parama Pujya Sri Swamiji was accompanied by violin virtuoso Nada Nidhi Dr L. Subramaniam. The other musicians were Jaitra Varanasi & Ambi Subramaniam on violin, Shankara Ramesh on Mridangam, Mahesh Bhat on Tabala and Mani on keyboard. The central piece of the program was "Janmotsava Raga Sagara" - a special composition comprising of the following Ragas - Abhogi, Veena Vaadini, Hamsanandi, Neela and Shubhapantuvarali.hile exposing these Ragas, Sri Swamiji touched all the 12 pitches in musical scale and further these Ragas correlate to the five natural elements (Pancha Maha Bhootas) The musical play of Pujya Sri Swamiji was scholarly and mesmerizing. Dr. L. Subramaniam's soulful violin accompaniment enhanced the music.

15th June
Sri Chakra Puja was performed by Sri Swamiji at 10 am followed by Homa. On the concluding day of Pujya Sri Swamiji's' Birthday celebrations, Dattapeetham honoured various dignitaries with the tile 'Vishwa Bandhu'. Mr. Kanthi Bhai for his community service, Mr. Madhukar Kothare, a famous Tabala player, Dr. Lakshman and Mr. Eric Cross, a music professor from New Castle University were honoured with a plaque and a gold chain with Dattatreya, Lakshmi and Subramanya pendants. As it was father's day in England, Pujya Swamiji gave a wonderful discourse on parents and Dharma. (click here for the speech). A beautiful Bharatanatyam was performed by a group of children to Sri Swamiji's bhajans. A big cake was cut and distributed to all the volunteers by Sri Swamiji thus concluding the celebrations.
