Speech of Sri Medasani Mohan

My soulful prostrations to the Divine feet of His Divine Holiness Sri Ganapati Sachchidananda Swamiji Maharaj. Sri Swamiji is a Yogi, who with His consistent and single minded pursuit of mastery of Yama, Niyama, Asana, Pranayama, Pratyahara, Dhyana, Dharana Samadhi – which constitute the Ashtanga Yoga – has been compassionately Blessing this world. 20 years ago I developed a compassion and devotion filled relationship with Sri Swamiji. I consider it my great luck that Sri Swamiji Blessed me then. Sri Swamiji is indeed a divine incarnation.

Tallapaka Annamacharya was a noble person who composed more than 32,000 Bhajans on the Kaliyuga Daiva, Lord Venkateshwara and extolled the divine qualities and philosophy. Though he composed more than 32,000 Bhajans, only 14,000 are available today. Among what is available today, there is a composition where he connects the greatness of Lord Venkateshwara and Dattatreya. I am sure that Sri Swamiji’s incarnation is the spirit and essence of that specific composition.

Annamacharya who lived in the 15th century was foretelling through this particular composition of the coming of our Sri Swamiji in this 21st century. That composition contains coded seeds of this Avatar. The composition goes thus

“Thane Thane Indali Gurudu
Sane Pattini Bhogi – Jnana Yogi.
Aparimitamulu Aina Yajnaalu Vadi Cheya Prapannuluku Buddhi Praparinchi
Thapamuga Phala Parityagambu Gavinchu Kapurula Garimula Karma Yogi
Anni Chetarudu Brahmaarpana Vidi cheya Manninchu Buddhuluku Maruga Cheppi
Unnata Padamula Konaranga Karuninchiu Pannaga Shayanude Brahma Yogi.
Tanaraga Kapiludai Dattatreyudai Ghanamaina Mahima Sri Venkata Rayudai
Onaraga Samsara Yogamu Krupa Cheyu Animisha Gatulaku Abhyasa Yogi
Thane Indari Gurudu Saane Pattina Yogi Brahma Yogi

This is indeed a great composition I believe that this poem has the principle of Sri Swamiji.
In creation there are living brings from ants to Brahma they all are alive. The almighty has given each of these Knowledge according to their requirements. This knowledge is like a sword in the sheath. It is up to us to sharpen this sword and keep it shining and sharp. If your knowledge is not incisive and sharp, the life goes waste. Because it is only with knowledge can we progress. In this Shloka Annamacharya wants us to to remove the sword from the sheath and swish it around. It is our Guru who sharpens our swords. Because he sharpened my sword, I was able to compose and recite 5000 poems in 25 days. Even Indra cannot win if he has no Blessings of Brihaspati (Guru)
Bharateeya Culture has reposed such exalted status to the seat of Guru.

Good deeds are called as Yagna. Guru gives is the spark, the idea, the will, the wish, the energy to think about good deeds and to perform good deed. Not only this much. He even gives us the satisfaction that “I” have performed it. This is where we cave to exercise caution. We have to offer the efforts and the fruits of our labor to the sacred feet of Guru.

I came here to day, verily the next day after successful completion of my 5000 Avadhana Program. Because, I wanted to offer the fruits of the effort, to the feet of my Sadguru.

To such humble people full of humility. Lord Vishnu will bestow better and greater titles and positions. Here Annamacharya uses the word DATTATRAYA. The same God Blesses as Kapila, Dattatreya, Venkateshwara We see in this present incarnation of Sri Swamiji that he has close affinity with Dattatreya and Venkateshwara That is why Sri Swamiji has constructed the beautiful temple of Venkateshwara in Avadhoota Datta Peetham. The inner secret is revealed by this special Shloka of Annamacharya who lived in the 15th century.

If the words Dattatreya and Venkateshwara are mentioned in one poem, it shows that Annamacharya had inkling that Swamiji will do all this.

In Samsara, a Jeevi craves for Bhoga and not Yoga. This is very wrong. In our Puranas, the great Rishi Kardama Prajapati had two wives. One was Diti and the other was Aditi. The children of Diti had demonic qualities while the children of Aditi were pure and angel like. How can this happen to the children of a common father? Because the mother, Diti took Life or Samsara as a Bhoga. Mean while, Aditi took Samsara as a Yoga.

Great men tell us to assume Samsara with Yoga and not with Bhoga.
How can one select Yoga instead of Bhoga?? To select Yoga in life, one needs a resolute mind with strong resolve and decisiveness, one needs Guru who will guide him in that path. Then we can expect our lives to be transformed from a dull “I too existed” state to “I am existence”.

Does God take any food you give Naivedya? No. What to you give to a person who has created everything and who has given you what you have?? You have to give that thing what HE does not have or possess? What do you have which God or Guru does not have? A Confused mind. You should give to your Guru, your conclusions and unhappiness.
Ten years ago it happened to me. Swamiji spoke some encouraging words after our first meeting and said that I will do better things in life. I did not understand that day. But I do understand then. But now In fully understand that what ever I uttered in my 25 day program was just Guru’s Blessing flowing through me. All credit should go to Swamiji.

I am overwhelmed that I am standing before Sri Swamiji on this day. His Blessings mean a lot to me. It is endless and immeasurable.

I offer my prayers to Sri Swamiji.
