Devotees came in droves. In spite of the confusion over the date of Yugadi, Sri Swamiji decided to observe the festival on both days., that is, 19th and 20th March 2007. Because of the solar eclipse from 06.25 to 07.30 AM, Sri Swamiji performed Abhisheka to Trimukha Ganapati idol in Hyderabad Ashrama. Ganapati Atharva Sheersha Mantras were chanted. Sri Swamiji performed Sri Chakra Puja at 9 AM and arrived at the Yugadi Darshan hall at 10 AM. Sri Swamiji sat and gave Darshan to over 30,000 devotees. They entered the hall in two queues and looked at the divine form of Sadgurudeva for a while, touched the Datta Padukas and exited the hall to receive the Yugadi pachchadi (A special concoction of neem leaves, jaggery, tamarind paste, denoting the equal portion of happy, not so happy events to come in the year). The aged, young, just born, students, sick, healthy, men, women - everyone came with the much looked forward Darshan of Sadgurudeva on the first day of the year.

After the Darshan, Sri Swamiji came to the dias at 7 PM. Sri Kuppa Anjaneya Sastry, the Datta Peetham Almanac maker, read out the Panchanga of the day. He also mentioned the salient features of the almanac for the year. Later, Sri Swamiji honored Dr. P. Srinivas who spoke on Sundara Khanda in the afternoon and for the coming two days. A small calendar from Yugadi this year to next year Yugadi was released. Sri Swamiji then sang the new Yugadi Bhajan and few new Bhajans.
