Sri Swamiji made the maiden visit to Romania on the 2nd August 2005. Sri Swamiji had flown from Germany to the city of Cluj Napoca in the Transylvania valley. The only devotee, Sri Kesarinath who is with Sri Swamiji since 1972 works with a US major builder there.

On 3rd evening, a welcome reception was arranged in a conference room in the city. Mr .George Alsop, country manager of Bechtel corporation lit the traditional lamp and inaugurated the program. Sri Kesarinath welcomed Sri Swamiji and spoke about His long standing relationship with Sri Swamiji. Mrs.Eve Luxmih Lyn and Prasad spoke about Sri Swamiji, Avadhoota Datta Peetham & the activities.

Sri Swamiji spoke and said that he felt very much at home in Romania and he found love and compassion in the eyes of Romanians.

On 4th morning, Sri Swamiji visited the Roman Orthodox Christian monastery of St .Nicola. The Bishop and Abbott received Sri Swamiji and showed the places around. The Church of Mother Mary is famous in Romania as it shed tears for 40 days in 15th century. Since then, every year, hundreds of thousands of devout gather in the valley and celebrate for four days from August 15th. The respect and awe the Abbott had for Sri Swamiji was astonishing.

Sri Swamiji spent over 30 minutes in the church and meditated.

Sri Swamiji arranged a donation of 1000 Euros for the upcoming festival feeding.
