SRI SWAMIJI IN NAGESHWAR - Nag Nath Jyotirlinga Temple
16 November 2005

The Travel to Nageswar was short. Barely a 20 minute ride. It is here that one of the 12 Jyotirlinga Shiva temple exists. The Lingam is called as NAGANATH. The area is called as DARUKAVANA - in the scriptures. As we approached the area, we saw a giant 60 feet Mahadev statue in meditation posture. The Nageshvar temple is an elegant large temple.

The Shiva linga looks like a roughly hewn rock and is about 7 feet below the main hall floor level. Sri Swamiji performed Abhisheka and Puja to the Shiva Linga while devotees watched with devotion and spiritual awe.

Sri Swamiji admired the services rendered by Sri Gulshan Kumar (Late) for doing extensive renovation works of the Nageshwar temple, which was a very small shrine earlier.

From Nageswar, Sri Swamiji traveled to Porbandar. A small fishing town on the coast of Arabian Sea. It claim to fame as the birth place of Mahatma Gandhi. The journey continued to Somnath in Junaghad region. We arrived in Somnath at around 5 PM.
