Sri Swamiji visits Delhi and Cochin - 21-24 October 2005 Sri Swamiji called on Sri R. Venkatraman in New Delhi on 20th October 2005 and inquired his health. On 21st, Sri Swamiji arrived in Cochin. In the evening, the newly built additional building of Datta Clinic was inaugurated by His Excellency Sri Bhatia, Hon'ble Governor of Kerala. The Datta clinic has been active in the free medical care to the local community in the past decade and the new space will be utilised to provide better and additional services. In his speech, the Mr .Bhatia said that India was known throughout the world for centuries as the land of Yoga and Spirituality because of teachers like Sri Swamiji. In his short address, Sri Swamiji Blessed the devotee doctors selflessly serving for the better health of the poor and needy people and called on the public to help the hospital in any manner. Earlier several Mathru Mandalis of Aluva and Matancherry towns had performed Lalita Sahasranama and Soundarya Lahari Parayana. On 22nd, Sarva Dosha Nivarana Puja was conducted. Sri Swamiji offered two coconuts to the very famous Karya Siddhi Hanuman temple in Ashrama and tied them. With a Kusha grass, He also touched most of the hundreds of coconuts tied around the temple. In the evening Sri Chakra Puja was performed in the Ashrama precincts. On 23rd, while Sri Chakra Puja took place, Sri Matancherry Viswanathan sang Carnatic music. Later Chandi Homa Purnahuti was offered. In the evening, a special program to honor one of the distinguished Kathakali Singer, Mr. Hyder Ali was held in the Ashrama prayer hall. He has achieved a cult status in the specialised art of Kathakali singing and has been very active in the venerable Kala Mandalam group. He sang two songs which captivated the hearts of everyone one in the audience. Being a moslem, his rendition of Raga, Bhava and the devotion is simply unmatchable. He was honoured with a citation and a shawl. It was announced that he would be honoured with the title KALA BANDHU during the 64th birthday celebrations of Pujya Sri Swamiji in May 2006. Prof.K.V.Thomas (MLA), V.D.Satheeshan(MLA) and Dhanabalan (DCC President) participated and spoke. The Malayalam version of Shata Shloki Ramayana book, Bhagavadgita Avalokana with Malayalam audio commentary for Sri Swamiji's 140 Gita Shlokas and the Malayalam Hanuman Charitra part 2 were released. On 24th, Sri Swamiji saw the newly donated Paduka Mantapam and expressed happiness. It was donated by Ramachandran, the Terra cotta sculptor who made the Mysore Ashrama's impressive Mulikeshwara and Akala Moksha Stupa statues. In the afternoon, Sri Swamiji returned to Mysore Ashrama.
