After morning Puja, Go Puja & Maha Vishnu Homa were performed on the occasion of Krishna Janma Ashtami. Later, a book on Philosophy called Aatma Vidya Vilasam was released by Sri Naga Bhushanam. This book is a compilation of Sri Swamiji’s discourses on the original Text of Sri Sadashiva Brahmendra Swamy, (a legendary saint) in Vijayawada in 1980s. Compiler was Smt. Bala Kusuma.

Guests of Honour Sri Naga Bhushanam, Smt. Usha Rani, Commissioner – Vijayawada Municipal Corporation, Sri Kanta Rao, SP Intelligence, Sri BV Sudhakar, Commissioner, Industrial Training& Employment were honoured. Later, Maha Vishnu Homa Poornahuti was offered.

In the evening, Poornahuti was offered for the Lalita Maha Yagam Homa. Matru Mandali members, who were instrumental in the organisation of various functions of Ashrama, had arranged Programs of colourful Dance and folk Arts on the occasion of Krishna Ashtami. Nearly 40 children performed in this ballet. To the delight of hundreds of devotees, Sri Swamiji soulfully sung a few Bhajans. Later, Sri Swamiji adorned a decorated Swing for Dolo Utsavam. Devotees offered the customary sweets and eatables to Sri Swamiji as Naivedyam to Jagadguru. After Nadee (river) Puja, volunteers of SDH Services vied with each other to break the Butter Pot to the amusement of His Holiness. (As happened in Lord Sri Krishna’s childhood, a pot of Butter/ Milk is tied to a rope and controlled through a pulley. Boys of various ages run from a distance and jump to grab the pot. Girls playing the role of housekeepers, pour water on the jumpers so that they are not able to see the pot, during high jump. This is a folk custom.)

Later, Devotees from Guntur, who had organised the Annadanam activity during Krishna Pushkaram were honoured.
