Sri
Swamiji's Speech during evening Satsang in Vijayawada Ashrama on 9th February
2003
Sri
Swamiji sings the Bhajan "Bhaavaya Chitte" and speaks
When
we think of wealth, we think of a fat bank balance, huge house, a great
car. Then what is real Aishvarya? (wealth).Kuppa
Krishna Murthy, please come and answer my questions.
So saying, Sri Swamiji drags a reluctant Krishna Murthy to the stage.
He comes and sits on the ground, next to Swamiji’s Bhajan dias.
He starts to speak:-
Kuppa Krishna Murthy- Whatever one thinks is correct. There are
two things in life. One is NASHVARA and the second is ISHVARA. That which
disappears in the sands of time is NASHWARA. That which is indestructible
is ISHVARA. All Ishvara material is AISHWARYA (wealth). Whatever Guru
Deva gives from his hand has the halo of ISHVARA. Because you receive
it with great faith. When you put Vibhooti (sacred ash) in your mouth,
your illness diminishes. I am not speaking here. This is all Swamiji’s
words. I remember them more than you because I edit Bhakti Mala. The other
day we discussed about the elusive happiness we believe money brings.
Many times money brings fear. What good is the happiness if it comes with
fear? This is questionable. That which gives permanent happiness,is Ishvara.
All that is Ishvara is Aishvarya. In Swamiji’s Bhajan Bhaavaya Chitte,
Swamiji says Bhakti is Aishvarya. Bhakti is a instrument to get happiness.
We do everything with the intention that the results bring us happiness
We check if we have improved after coming to Swamiji. This is not objectionable.
Bhakti becomes an Aishvarya only when you get a permanent fruit. It should
put you in the strata of happiness forever. This is the gist of the Bhajan
“Bhaava Chitte”.
We have to develop a natural instinct for Bhakti. It should not be a forced
one. It should not be treated as an instrument to gain more money wealth.
How does one achieve this? A child does not wish to study naturally. We
scold saying he would not get a good career if he does not study properly.
After a while he gets to enjoy studying. When he starts to study too much,
we worry that he loses health because of his over studiousness and excessive
anxeity. His aspirations increase and he wants to study more. For him
study becomes a type of enjoyment. Bhakti too should be cultivated like
it. We have to develop a love for natural devotion. To get that love,
we have to understand the true essence of intense devotion. Intense concentration
is many faceted. This concentration for devotion should come from true
love for God. Which God to concentrate upon? Raja Rajeshvari? Datta? Four
hand God or eight hand God? Swamiji says, concentrate on that God who
lives in all three Lokas (Tripura) – Bhuvarloka. Suvarloka and Martya
Loka. All Gods live in this. Brahma loka, Vishnu Loka and Shiva Loka are
all part of this great heaven concept we have. Mother Goddess is the ultimate
Chaitanya that pervades all galaxies.
This Devi Chaitanya Murthy is a great force that is always organic. It
is not static. What do we get when we concentrate this force? All fourteen
Lokas are hers. What about the four Lokas earlier? Actually there is only
one matter. There are two divisions. Upper lokas and lower lokas. Seven
upper Lokas and seven lower lokas. It is divided to indicate the way a
Jeevi travels. While Devi is in this great Brahmaanda (Galaxies), she
is in atoms too. She has woven her force in all this great concept of
atoms to galaxies. It is comparable to that of threads in a Saree which
interwoves and becomes a saree and loses its identity as thread. All this
is great in explanation. But how to bring it to normal day to day life?
It is like a conceptual electrical diagram for a new house. It shows the
electrical designer’s ingenuity. The electrician needs more ingenuity
to translate it to reality and bring light to house. Sumeru Sri Chakra
is like this. The great saints made this entire complex design very symbolic.
This Bhajan Bhaavaya Chitte deals with the third strata of Sri Chakra.
The Yogini Devathas of this strata worship Bhavaani Devi. They remove
confusion. Which confusion? All confusion of body, mind, family and friends
and life itself. They are called as SANKSHOBHINI Devathas. Worshipping
Bhavani removes confusion. Proper explanation needs more time. To grasp
the idea of this creation, Chaitanya, Jada, Confusion etc., it really
needs more and more time. We shall deal it later.
I can only pray that out of love on me, grant me knowledge. So that I
can understand answers to my confusions.
SRI SWAMIJI: In Sri Vidya, Each strata has a Mudra. In
this third strata the Mudra is Sarva Vasheekarana Mudra. Sri Vidya is
a symbolic and coded worship. It is full of symbols and Beejaaksharas.
Mauna (silence) is even higher form of worship. There is another type
of worship above Mauna too. Worshipping her in this is greater. What can
be higher that Mauna? After Mantra comes Beejaakshara, Mudra, Mauna and
something even more. First learn to chant Mantra. That is why Swamiji’s
Sri Chakra Puja is not time related. It can be one hour or two hours or
even two minutes.
Swamiji does not need it. Swamiji is happiness himself. He does it because
of you.
You need proper resolve to do anything. If we have to win our enemy, we
have to conquer him. We are not happy if he is down and out. No. We want
to completely annhiliate him. That is – he has to become you. You
have to absorb him. Then only do you feel happy. We have to get the feeling
that we are enjoying the world for ever. We have to get the feeling that
the world is in us. In total. In all material in the world there is something
called Rasa. This Rasa is not seeable or you cannot hear it. It is something
that you feel. In Sri Vidya worship, the nine type of Rasas are ascribed.
In this third strata, the Rasa is Bhayaanaka (fearsome). The Bhajan further
says that those who worship the Mother Goddess in this third strata, she
will dance in the hearts of the worshipper.
