Two concerts were arranged in Trinidad as part of the celebrations. The first one in the Ashrama prayer hall on 14th June and the second one the next day (15th June) in the newly renovated Queens Hall auditorium in Port of Spain. Swami Manasa Datta lit the lamp and inaugurated the concert in the Ashrama prayer hall. Anand, the helicopter pilot who poured the water from helicopter on Hanuman had the honor of offering Mala to Sri Swamiji. Sri Swamiji played for over two and half hours. The main Ragas were Shubha Pantuvarali (Bhajan - Bhaja Bhaja Dattam) and Mohana Raga (Bhajan - Isha Pateesha). Sri Swamiji had rehearsed for several days and had combined several new sounds from the synthesizer. Even a avid Swamiji's music lover could immediately understand that Sri Swamiji was playing new sounds. The Mohana Raga was eloquently treated with sounds of Chinese instruments in the fore. Sri Swamiji spoke much about the healing sounds prior to the concert. It was a long evening. The thousand two hundred persons in the hall had a real fulfilling experience of Sri Swamiji's mystical and healing sounds. On 15th, the concert in Queens Hall in Port of Spain was a dignified event. The concert was inaugurated by His Excellency Prof. George Maxwell Richards who was Blessed by Sri Swamiji with a sweet smelling Jasmine garland. He wore it through the concert. Sri Swamiji played for about 70 minutes. The main Raga was Hindola (Bhajan - Paalaya Paalaya Sri Lalite) and Raga Gowri Manohari (Bhajan-Gangadhara Shiva). Dr. L. Subramaniam had returned from US just hours earlier and accompanied Sri Swamiji on violin. It was a wonderful combination. Dr.Subramaniam's smooth and mellowed bowing created haunting yet mellifluous notes which followed Sri Swamiji like a shadow. His energetic playing during quick paced passages were awe inspiring. The hall had many dignitaries. Among them The President, H. E. G. Maxwell Richards, Hon'ble Prime Minister, Mr. Patrick Manning, Speaker of the house of Representatives and Senate leader and several cabinet ministers and diplomats from various embassies. The concert stage was heavily decorated with green plants and shrubs and the back drop of a himalayan scene made it feel as if the concert was being held in the green grassy slopes of Himalayas. After the concert, Sri Swamiji honored the President and the Prime Minister with the traditional Mysore Silk Peta (Turban). It was a feast to see Sri Swamiji flanked by tall and suit clad set dignitaries of Trinidad wearing turbans. Prime Minister Mr. Patrick Manning presented to Sri Swamiji a book published by the Government, "Facets of the Divine", which contains 61 exquisite photos of Sri Swamiji as part of the 61st Birthday celebrations held in Trinidad. H. E. President Maxwell spoke and said that he was transported to a different sphere and he never had such experience while listening to Music and thanked Sri Swamiji for giving them this wonderful concert. Before returning to Ashrama, Sri Swamiji visited the house of Sri Ramesh Persad Maharaj, President of Dattatreya Yoga Centre of Trinidad and Tobago.
