Sri Swamiji visits Malaysia

Sri Swamiji made a surprise visit to Malaysia for two days. Arriving on the 30th November in Malaysia Ashrama at noon, Sri Swamiji was devotionally received and Sri Swamiji spoke thus

Somewhere some fault has happened. Therefore the delay in the visit to Malaysia. It is Sri Swamiji’s advice that it is better to be in Mauna (Silence) than to speak non stop and speak unimportant and irrelevant things. Even gossiping and chatting in front of Sri Swamiji’s photo can cause cancellation of Sri Swamiji’s trip. Only speak good and truth. It will then materialize. Don’t have negative thoughts. This is a test for Datta devotees. Small faults are happening. But Sri Swamiji will pardon. But you are still at loss. Every second is valuable to Sri Swamiji. All over the world people yearn for Sri Swamiji’s presence. Be serious about your devotion to Sri Swamiji. Don’t take any duty as a matter of fact. Everybody must contribute. If all the family members contribute in Guru Seva, it will be a very strong centre. Never think that Sri Swamiji comes just because of your service. If you really want to do Guru Seva, you must be able and prepared to take responsibilities. In Malaysia, there is 80% success. But the rest 20 % must also follow and contribute and serve. When the trip was cancelled not many sent email inquiring the reasons for cancellation. I am amused and surprised. This is a serious mistake. Don’t let it happen again. You would have sent a dozen emails if someone in family was not well. But Sri Swamiji’s non coming was not properly inquired.

In the evening Sri Swamiji attended the Bharata Natyam (Indian dance) program arranged in aid of the Malaysia Gnana Bodha Sabha. The dancers Gayatri Ramesh and Sharmala gave wonderful representation of the true Bharatanatyam tradition. Sri Swamiji was happy.

On 1st December 2002 (Sunday), Dato Sami Velu, Minister for Public works and a prominent Indian in Malaysia called on Sri Swamiji.

Sri Chakra Puja and Maha Ganapati Homa was performed. Later Sri Swamiji spoke and mentioned about the developments to be done in the Ashrama there. The expansion by acquiring the site next door is a important step said Sri Swamiji. Donations for that were collected.

Sri Swamiji toured the next door property and Blessed the efforts of Gnana Bodha Sabha to acquire it.

Sri Swamiji left for Singapore in the evening. The travel to the Kuala Lumpur airport was by the newly introduced KLIA express train. Sri Swamiji appreciated the developments and expansion of the country and the mass transport system within two decades. Sri Swamiji remembered the situation when He first visited Malaysia in 1980.
