Sri Bala Swamiji's Kailash & Manasa Sarovara Yatra

Sri Datta Vijayananda Teertha Swamiji (Bala Swamy) along with eleven devotees undertook the sacred Yatra (pilgrimage) to Tibet to have the Darshan of Kailash Mountain.

Mount Kailash is the most sacred mountain in the world. Its snow dusted rock pyramid is located in the scenically rich area of western Tibet. Manasa Sarovara is the highest fresh water lake in the world.

Sri Bala Swamy with other devotees took bath at Manasa Sarovara on June 20 and collected the holy water.

They performed the 53 kilometres Parikrama (circumambulation) of Mount Kailash from 22 to 25 June. Three Homas were performed during that week at different places.

The group left India on June 12 and returned back to Mysore on June 30. In Mysore, Sri Bala Swamy performed Abhishekam to the deities in Ashrama with Manasa Sarovara water.
