Meaning
Refrain:
I prostrate to Brahma (The Creator) who is ever blissful in the
pleasant company of Sarasvati the Goddess of knowledge.
Stanza
1:
Brahma! You are born out of the lotus emanating from the navel of
Vishnu (The Protector). By your power of penance, you have visualised
all the Vedas. By your divine insight you recite the four Vedas
by your four mouths (Brahma has four faces). Your vow of creation
of the Universe is superb. I prostrate to you.
Stanza
2:
Vakdevi (the Goddess of words-Saraswati) inspires and preaches fine
feelings. She is your consort. However, She in the sublime state
transcending all feelings. However She is comparable to Kamadhenu
(wish fulfilling celestial cow) to all creatures with several feelings.
Associated with you She bestows Sat-Cit-Ananda.
