Navaratri 1998 - Report of day ten Sri Swamiji performed the concluding rituals of Navaratri. The rituals concluded with Homa, performed by Swamiji. In the evening, Swamiji started his musical discourse with a Bhajan on Ganapati. The following new Bhajan was the next item. Dola - He Sri Ranjani - Dola Dola - Dola - Rajesi - Dola Bale - Ehi - Ayahi - Dola Nidra - roopa - Ara - Dehi Jagradroopa - Maddhee - Dehi Yatayatam - maddhee karyam Nishkaampatvam - Sachchidananda Meaning: "Oh! Mother! You are Lakshmi, the Goddess of wealth. You are Rajarajeswari (Durga) also. I perform the Dolotsava (placing the deity in a decorated swing and swinging it as though putting a baby to sleep). Shower your grace on me so that I remain tranquil. Bless me with sharp intellect during my wakeful state. I pray to you to make all my intellectual efforts purposeful and fruitful. Kindly grant me SAT-CHIT-ANANDA (Truth-Knowledge-Bliss). Later, Sri Swamiji gave the following message on the significance of SRICHAKRA. If you draw a circle and equilateral triangle in it touching the periphery, you will have an idea of Srichakra. See! There are three levels in the Srichakra. It has several triangles in each level. The five senses of perception and action are indicated by these circles. The five elements of nature - earth, water, fire, air and sky comprise of the world. This is called Prapancha - i.e. which is made of five (elements). Nava Avarana Puja is performed to all the nine triangles of Srichakra, Vedic rituals are performed in Srichakra puja, to obtain the grace of the Divine Mother. Srichakra is not a mere drawing made by a computer. In Srichakra puja, the Beeja Aksharas (seed letters) have to be chanted after a proper initiation and thorough practice. Mother Goddess is worshipped in various forms like Vageeswari, Rajeswari, Bhuvaneswari. The three main aspects of the Divine Mother are Maha Saraswati, Maha Lakshmi and Maha Kali, Maha Kali, the Goddesses of Learning, Wealth and Power. The circle represents SHIVA and the triangle indicates Shakti. Thus Srichakra represents the unified form of Shiva and Shakti. By their grace, the universe is created. The divine couple of Kama Kameswari and Kameswara are inseparable. They create the universe. They control the elements of nature. Lakshmi does not merely grant prosperity. She removes all our difficulties. Srichakra is the essence of spiritual knowledge. Srichakra puja is the worship of the Supreme Soul. It is not a blind faith. It is scientific. Mere decoration with flowers and lighting lamps and offering incense and tasty food is not the entire puja. These services are incidental to the worship, each offering to be rendered with chanting of powerful mantras. In case such ritual is not possible, one may just observe the services with attention and pure devotion, chanting"SriMata" or any other mantra, given by the Sadguru. It is highly essential to note that one must not be afraid of SRICHAKRA. She is the tender, affectionate Divine Mother. She is your Mother. Draw a circle and an equilateral triangle therein. And offer Kumkuma and flowers, uttering Srimata. A small booklet SRICHAKRA is published by Datta Peetham. For a preliminary idea of the puja, one may refer to it."
Earlier in the day, music seva was rendered by the famous violin artists Mysore Sri Manjunath and Mysore Sri Nagaraj.
