In the morning, Parama Pujya Sri Swamiji placed Datta Kankana (bracelet) to about 2000 host committee members who organized the Navaratri celebrations. The persons who really supported this massive Navaratri preparation efforts were ecstatic. It took more than five hours to complete this process.

At 11.30 AM, His Excellency Sri Surjith Singh Barnala, Governor of Andhra Pradesh state arrived to inaugurate the Amma Vodi buildings. He unveiled the stone plaque commemorating this event. Sri Swamiji and Bala Swamiji were present. Later the dignitaries arrived at the sprawling prayer hall (Hyderabad Ashrama has the second largest prayer hall amongst all Ashramas. The first honors goes to Bommeparthy (Jayalakshmipuram). In the function that followed, the HE Governor spoke and lauded the concern Sri Swamiji showed for distressed elderly ladies by giving them refuge. He remarked that Sri Swamiji’s interest to come all the way from native place of Mysore to Andhra Pradesh showed that Sri Swamiji’s love and care crossed geographical boundaries. He prayed that the Amma Vodi program would commence soon.

Sri Swamiji spoke and expressed happiness over the overwhelming support from devotees and charitable minded persons who supported the projected to be completed in a record 3 years. Sri Swamiji announced that the actual commencement of housing of aged persons would commence once the resources of running the centre would be in place. Sri Swamiji expected it to take place about 6 months.
Later, The Governor honored Sri S.N.S.R. Shekar, donor of the 2 acres Amma vodi land, architects, Sri V.V.Rao and Sri. Madhusudan and contractors Sri Achyuta Rama Rao and Vara Prasad.

Smt.Sabitha Indra Reddy, Mines and Geology minister of Andhra Pradesh was the chief guest.

In the evening, Sri Swamiji gave Puja clothes to priests and assistants who were to assist in the Navaratri Pujas. Later, Sri Swamiji released 2005 Datta Peetham calendar in Telugu language. Special photographic portraits of Sri Swamiji were also released.

Sri Swamiji’s Pre Navaratri Speech – Maha Laya Amavasya - 07.40 PM

Today is Mahalaya Amavasya. Today is very special for Guru Darshana for spiritual seekers. The season also changes from today. Those who have taken Guru Upadesha from Sri Swamiji should chant those Mantras as many times possible in the coming ten days. From today, Sri Swamiji will not be speaking much. Sri Swamiji will be involved in Upasana of Devi. What is Nava Avarana Puja method? Many are confused. Some have vague idea from reading of books. Swamiji’s method is quite different from what is explained in the books. Swamiji’s method is a comprehensive method that is culled from various sources. This is a special method unique to Swamiji. Swamiji will be doing Mudra Puja. Many Mudras are not visible and are done internally. Many Mudras are done just by eye movements. You may not notice. Therefore, you all are very blessed to be in this space of worship. Swamiji brought the mother Goddess by air (from Mysore to Hyderabad). Swamiji sculpts the Sri Chakra by turmeric paste, invokes the energy of mother goddess and then releases the energy before the conclusion. Each movement is unique. Just seeing Swamiji doing it, is a energizing experience.

Swamiji had long ago received a Sri Chakra from Andes Mountain. I was always telling it that I would visit her place once. I am glad that I have visited Peru, the place of this very powerful Sri Chakra. I felt this Sri Chakra energy in Machu Picchu Mountains.
Swamiji has brought several special Sumeru Sri Charkas. Swamiji will be worshipping them in the course of ten days of worship. Be alert and look at those Pujas. Some lucky girls will be worshipped in Kumari Puja. Who knows what souls have taken re-birth as these lucky ones. In Mysore, Swamiji used to start Navaratri at 6 AM and end at 8 PM. Many Europeans sat through the entire Puja without getting up. An astonishing fact considering that most Indians become restless after a couple of hours. This year, only one main difference will be there. There will be no Bhajan session. Instead, Swamiji will sing from Puja stage – the Bhajan of that particular day.

I know that many devotees would find this place inconvenient. The first day will be little difficult. Don’t worry. You will get used to this and from second day, the entire Puja plan will be in place. You have to adjust and content yourself that you get to see Swamiji for so many hours a day. Though you may not be able to come close and talk, but you will be greatly Blessed.

Swamiji had been to Peru recently. Believe it or not. Swamiji went in auto rickshaw It was so cheap. He asked only two rupees for the long ride. I felt pity and paid him five rupees. For three rupees, you get good and sumptuous food. I felt so good. Temple were built on difficult to reach cliff tops. That too, thousand years ago. I did not feel the bad energies of human offerings that are quite common in many other places. They worshipped grains and leaves. It is quite common with our method of worship. The mountain Machu Picchu looks like a Sumeru Sri Chakra. I went there because it was in that sacred land that I fell to earth. I don’t know if I was a mosquito or a bull or a cow or a lama or what ever. In Nazca desert, we found giant diagrams carved on the rocky and sandy surface. They are hundreds of meters wide. I am sure that discovery channel or National geographic channel have shown documentaries on these mystical places. But you people are interested in news channel or movie channel. You look for tension related news and murder news and war news. You get greatly tensed up upon hearing that there is a typhoon brewing in the Atlantic ocean. You ignore family life where other domestic troubles will be brewing. You will be disappointed if the news does not have terrible news items. If you see a accident on the road, you inquire casually if there were deaths. Why don’t you get down and help those suffering? You seek thrill, tension, fear and scary things. You don’t want Sattvic things, peace, affection and love. May mother goddess give changes in your life.

Today morning, the Governor, Sri. SS Barnala inaugurated the Amma Vodi buildings. The program will commence soon. We need volunteers and service minded persons to come forward to assist in the project to function. We have to put in place resources for the program to run effectively and perpetually. Extend help and assistance in what ever capacity you can render.

Many are wondering about Swamiji’s white beard. Don’t worry, To my astonishment, black hair is now coming again. It is all nature’s command. Don’t look at me. Look at my words and follow them. Because today some persons came and cried that Swamiji’s beard was graying.
