The third day's Navaratri Puja had the worship of the mother Goddess as Durga Lakshmi.

The morning music concert was a Hindustani vocal recital by Smt. Shruti Sadolikar of Bombay. She was ably accompanied on the Harmonium by Sr. V. A. Katti and on the Tabala by Sri. Gaurang Kodical.

The second concert of the day was Carnatic classical music by Dr. Padma Murthy, an ardent devotee and member of Datta Peetham. She sang many of Pujya Sri Swamiji's compositions, much to the joy of devotees. She was accompanied by her husband, Sri. T. S. Murthy on the violin, Sri. Ravi Shankar on Mrudangam and Sri. Manjunath of Datta Peetham on Ghatam.
