Mother Goddess was worshipped as Parashakti on the fifth day of Devi Navaratri Celebrations.

The morning programme started at 8.30 AM, with Sri Swamiji starting the procession of Devi at Dattatreya Temple and going through the ring road entered Nada Mantapam.

The morning music concert was a Carnatic violin duet recital by Ms. Lalita and Ms. Nandini of Madras. Their wonderful and scintillating performance pleased Sri Swamiji. Their soft and L. Subramaniam style of playing was pleasing and wonderful.

The second concert of the day was a Carnatic classical vocal recital by Smt. Kalavati of Bangalore.

Today Sri Swamiji performed Dolotsava by placing the idol of mother Goddess on a wooden Lion. Before that, Sri Swamiji launched the "Sri Mata" mantra writing competition where people were exhorted to write as many "Sri Mata" Mantra as possible. Nine prizes were announced. Sri Swamiji urged the writers to perform the task with devotion and faith.
