This year Dattatreya Temple in Mysore Ashrama is celebrating it's Silver Jubilee year. It was consecrated in the year 1978.

Pujya Sri Swamiji performed Sri Chakra Puja at 8:30 am. After performing Purnahuti of Maha Ganapati Homa, Sri Swamiji offered Arati at the Anagha Vrata place. Sri Swamiji performed Panchamrita Abhishekam to Lord Dattatreya and offered Arati.

During the Bhajan session at 10:00 am, Sri Swamiji sang old Bhajans on Lord Dattatreya.

At 11 am, the Utsava Murti of Dattatreya was carried in a palanquin from Datta Temple to Nada Mantapa in grand procession. At the entrance of Nada Mantapa, Sri Swamiji along with eminent Musicians from Mysore unveiled the stone statues of various Deities related to Nada. Later, Mantapotsava took place on the stage of Nada Mantapa. Sri Swamiji awarded certificates and remuneration to the successful students of the Smarta Examination (priest training).

The evening programme in Nada Mantapa was a humor conference in Kannada. It was packed to full as leading personalities made people laugh from 6:30 pm to 10 pm. The participants included Sri. Asadulla Baig, Sri. Hiremagaluru Kannan, Sri. S. Shadakshari, , Prof. Chandre Gowda and Sri. M.S. Narasimha Murthy. Sri. Venkatadri and Sri. Satyanarayana rendered humor songs and skits. Sri Swamiji spoke about humor and its importance in once life and said that laughing is very good for the nervous system. Later one by one, all the artists spoke and made rib tickling jokes for over two hours. Sri Swamiji sat smiling and laughing all the way.

Sri. Uday and Sri. Ramakrishna of Jaana Jaaneyaru conducted the proceedings.
