Stoopa at Datta Peetham
A unique monolith monument of 60 feet height (exposed area) has been consecrated at Datta Peetham. Imposingly placed infront of the "Kireeta"The prayer hall at Datta Peetham, this mega stone pillar symbolically represents for everything that Sri Swamiji and Datta Peetham stands for. The pillar is octagonal shaped and emanates from a stone lotus. East face- On the bottom of the pillar is Brahma and has empty space representing "Shoonya" or Nirvikalpa. West Face -Sri Chakra on the bottom of pillar. On the face of the pillar is the Serpent like Kundalini Shakti with the Six Chakras from Muladhara to Ajna Chakras North Face: On the bottom if the pillar is the image of Vishnu. On top are symbols of various faiths and religions. South Face:Image of Dakshina Murthy on the bottom and various musical instruments on the face of the pillar. North East:The four great statements from the Four Vedas Aham Brahmasmi, Tattvamasi - Prajnanam Brahma, Ayamaatma Brahma. Carved in Sanskrit letters. South East:The seven musical notes as in Indian music. Sa, Ri, Ga, Ma, Pa, Da & Ni. North West:Devatas residing in the human body South West:Devatas residing in the human body (2nd set) On the top of this pillar will be the Sahasrara Padma on which the Guru Padukas will be situated. These Guru Padukas reflect the great Indian thought that the Principle of Guru Tattva is the pinnacle of any spiritual journey. Sri Swamiji
gave the following instructions on 21.4.99:- The finishing touch will be the "Amrita Sinchana"or flow of nectar from Guru Paduka The second main aspect of this arrangement should be - the system (water and lighting arrangement) should also dance or play to the tune of any given audio cassette or compact disc. |
