Maha Samprokshanam is a special ritual prescribed in Vaikhanasa Agama to sanctify the premises of a shrine. This elaborate ritual is usually conducted after renovation of a temple. It is known to devotees that Sri Swamiji made a Sankalpam last year to replace the structure of Lord Dhanvantari and Goddess Padmavati temples with exquisite sculpture of Rajasthan. The team of sculptures led by Sri Suresh renovated the two shrines with a special pink stone called 'Bansi Pahadpur' from Rajasthan.
The re-consecration rituals started on 2nd March 2009 with Pujya Sri Swamiji entering the specially erected Yaga Shala on the south-east corner of the temple.
Rituals prescribed by sages marked the re-consecration of Padmavati and Dhanvantari deities on 5th March 2009. Eight idols of goddess Lakshmi (Ashta Lakshmi) were also installed surrounding the Padmavati temple. Similarly, ten idols of Lord Vishnu (Dashavatara) were installed around Lord Dhanvantari temple. Thousands of devotees had the darshan of the deities and offered worship in orderly queues.
