
Sri Datta Vijayananda Teertha Swamiji (Sri Bala Swamiji) performed Vyasa Puja - Guru Parampara Puja on the sacred Guru Purnima day on 29th July 2007. Sri Bala Swamiji is observing his fourth Chaturmasya Vrata at Sri Datta Yogi Raja Kshetra in Sri Ganapati Sachchidananda Ashrama, Girinagar, Bangalore.
The day started at 6 am with the commencement of Pavamana Homa in Sri Karyasiddhi Mantapa. At 8 am, Sri Bala Swamiji performed Abhishekam to Maha Ganapati. Later, Sri Chakra Puja was performed. The most important Guru Parampara - Guru lineage Puja was performed for more than 3 hours in front of the photographs of Gurus. Dattapeetha Vidyadhikari Sri Kuppa Krishnamurti chanted the Mantras during the Puja. More than 900 devotees witnessed the elaborate Puja.
In the evening at 6 pm, Datta Peetha Shastra Nidhi Sri. Subbaraya Sharma spoke about the greatness of Guru.
Later, Sri Bala Swamiji started his discourse on Ramayana, which will be held every evening until the end of Chaturmasya on 26 September 2007.
