Vijnaanamaadou vidadhaati buddhou
tatonubhootim hridaye tanoti
Datte sataam tatparipaakamante
yastam gurum dattamanu vratosmi

(Sri Datta Dhyaana Maalikaa)

First, He instils Vijnaana (special knowledge) in to the intellect. Later, He causes experience in the heart. After this, only to the noble, he bestows His blessings so that the experience reaches the ultimate state, that too after they undertake persistent practice for a long time. Such is the nature of Lord Datta. To follow His methods itself is my aim of life.
