Easy Job

The disciple got fed up doing all the jobs that his Guru gave him. One day, the Guru was sitting peacefully on the bank of a pond. The disciple thought that it was an opportune moment and said,

"Guruji, please tell me some easy job."

The Guru replied, "See, there is something in your house which does not create ripples when it falls on water, which does not burn if it falls on fire. Search for it."

The disciple happily ran to his house and searched. He searched and searched. Finally, he came back to his guru with a sullen face. "Gurudev, I checked each and every object in my house with great care. I could not find an object that matches your description" he said.

"Objects !? I didn’t ask you to search for an object" was the perplexing reply of the Guru.

Disciple: What else did you say, Sir?

Guru: All I said was, there is something in your house.

Disciple: Exactly …… I searched the entire house…………

Guru: I said that it is there in your house. You searched everywhere except where it was!
The disciple felt a sudden lightening within. His eyes closed automatically. He was looking inwards now. He could see the light that his Guru was referring to.
Slowly his eyes opened. He could see the same light outside too!

He turned to his Guru. He saw the same light there also!!.
