Mouna vrataih satyavacho vratairvaa
Yam vaagvida ssatvara maapnuvanti Vaagartha madhyaambara bhaasvaram tam Vaagartha beejam gurudatta meede
(Sri Datta Dhyaana Maalikaa)

HE is the seed for the words as well as their meanings (it means that He is the cause for both). But He always shines in the space between the word and its meaning (in other words, he can not be accessed through words or meanings). The wise access Him either by remaining absolutely silent (i.e., observing ŒMouna Vrataš) or by always speaking the truth (i.e., observing ŒSatya Vrataš). I prostrate to that Lord Datta who transcends words and meanings.
