Sri Chakra Archana is performed daily by Sri Swamiji wherever
He may be in India or abroad. The Supreme Reality expresses itself through
Sri Chakra, a symbol or Cosmic Energy which is most precious. It represents
Devi, the Cosmic Mother. The symbol of Sri Chakra contains all Divine aspects.
By worshipping it, all deities are being honored. It is a worship of the
ultimate life force, which is Universal and unique. Sri Swamiji inherits
the tradition and energy which the Sri Chakra represents.
By witnessing the Sri Chakra Archana, we are directed from the
outer planes of gross experience to the inner core of the bindu, which is
the transcendental state of pure being. It is only possible by the grace
of a Siddha Purusha like Sri Swamiji to enable us to explore the subtleties
of existance and finally reach the spiritual goal. Sri Chakra Puja is an
essential tool in the hands of Sri Swamiji to uplift His devotees.
During the puja, holy water is being poured on the Sri Chakra.
This water is refined and charged with spiritual energy and Ayurvedic herbs.
The water is given to the devotees as holy teertham and should be considered
as a powerful medicine. Even though its taste is bitter, its purifying results
are remarkable.
In order to get maximum benifit from this service, we should
enroll our names at the counter. Participants of the Puja receive prasadam
in the form of a coin which one can keep on the puja place, and a turmeric
root, from which one makes a paste and should use in the bath.
Tailabishekam means pouring oil onto the deity. This principle
is described in the Agama Shastras. It is said that through this action,
the Cosmic Energy focuses itself into the murthy, which is a living entity
having unlimited powers. Dattatreya the Jeevan Murthy, in exchange for the
oil bath, blesses us with overall health and spiritual awakening.
A devotee can offer a vessel of oil which carries the imprint
of his face. Sri Swamiji pours this vessel of oil onto Lord Dattatreya, thus
removing our impurities. By taking part in this seva regularly, a true seeker
will receive great benefit. A small bottle of the oil is given as prasadam
to the participants. It can be applied as a treatment for body pains,
etc.
