SRI SWAMIJI PLAYS HEALING MUSIC INFRONT OF

SAPTA SWARA TEMPLE IN NADA MANTAPA
28 OCTOBER 2007- SUNDAY

One of the many unique features in Nada Mantapa is the world's onlt temple for the Sapta Swaras (seven musical notes). The unique design excapsulates the concept of the sacredness of music and its relation to yoga.

Nada Mantapa houses the Sapta Swara shrine. The theme depicts a giant seven hooded Adishesha "serpent" representing Kundalini Shakti. There are seven stone pillars in front of the serpent - placed in an arc. On top of each pillar, a stone statue of the presiding deity of that particular Swara ( musical note) is installed. The seven pillars, when struck at a particular place, sound the particular Swara.

On 28th October, 2007, Sri Swamiji played healing music on the synthesizer for over two hours. The entire program was in front of the Sapta Swara temple. The music flow from Sri Swamiji seated in front of this powerful location was indeed wonderful.
