His Holinesss Arrived in Datta Yoga Center of Trinidad and Tobago at 5 am on 14th, Thursday - August 1997. His Holiness was received by enthusiastic and Bhajan singing devotees at the center in Carapichaima. Swami Datta Pada Renu of Mysore Avadhoota Datta Peetham who is currently residing at the Center in Trinidad received His Holiness with Purnakumbham. Dr.Ralph Seiupersad, President of the Datta Yoga Center - in his welcome speech, profusely thanked His Holiness for having compassion for the Datta devotees in Trinidad. Pujya Swamiji in his brief benedictory address said the following
" Parama Hamsa is a divine swan which is in the Tibet region. It is mostly flying in the sky and seldom comes to ground. It's only food is fresh rain water - which - it drinks in the sky - flying. But some of the Hamsas in that catogory - come to earth and drink from ponds and lakes. They loose their divinity and cease to be Parama Hamsa. A good devotee is like a Parama Hamsa. They always await the arrival of their Sadguru and drink the nectar by being in their immediate presence. I do not want anyone to become a normal Hamsa. The Ashrama here is beautiful. You all have worked hard to make it look beautiful thinking Swamiji will appriciate it. Yes.. I do appriciate your efforts. But I am more concerned with you inner spiritual development. Progress in that brings me joy. Make use of Swamiji's presence in your country. Jaya Guru Datta".

17th Sunday - Installation of Dattatreya Idol and inauguration of Datta Temple in Princes Town.
The Krishna Navaratri discourse series begins at 6 p.m. at Datta Yoga Center
18th Monday - Poornima (Full Moon Day) Visit to Datta Ganga (Aripo river )for holy river bath. Installation of Shiva Lingam on the river bank.
24th Sunday - Installation of Navagraha idols and inauguration of Navagraha temple at Dtta Yoga Center.
25th Monday - Krishna Janmashtami - Programmes till midnight symbolising the birth of Krishna at mid night. Special Krishna Puja and Maha Sudarshana Homa.
27th Wednesday - His Holiness leaves for England.
