Sri Swamiji visited the sacred Aripo river on 25 th, Monday on the eve of Krishna Janmashtami celebrations. Sri Swamiji has for long considered the Aripo River as the Datta Ganga sacred river for the Datta devotees of Trinidad and Tobago Thousands of people visit the place and take bath in the holy river and consider it as a pilgrimage. The members of the Aripo committee showed Sri Swamiji, the amenities that have been developed for the convenience of pilgrims. They include , prayer hall, dining hall, bathing ghat, changing rooms, toilets and railing and path to get down the hill.
The spot is situated in lush green forest area and the stream has healing qualities. One has to climb down about hundred steps from the road to reach the water.. Much improvements have been effected by devotees and Government. Sri Swamiji consecrated a Shiva Lingam on the banks of the river in 1990.
